The Train stars Emraan Hashmi, Geeta Basra and Sayali Bhagat and is directed by Raksha Mistry and Hasnain S Hyderabadwala.

The music is Train is directed by a first-timer, Mithoon. It is a pretty good album considering it is Mr. Mithoon's debut both as a singer and music director. There is no doubt that Mithoon has a great voice and is a wonderful singer. Hope to see more of him in the future. I hope you enjoy this album, cheers.

Kya Love Story Hai

Kya Love Story Hai is a film by Lovely Singh and stars Abhay Deol Tusshar Kapoor and Ayesha Takia. Kareena Kapoor also guest appreas somewhere in the movie. I have no info about the story of this film, except that it is love story (Dah!).

Music of KLSH is composed by Pritam. There are quite a few good songs in this album. I personally like It's Rocking sung by Alisha and Gumsum Hai Dil Mera sung Sonu Nigam. There's been quite a lot of buzz about Pritam plagiarizing other artists' works. Let's hope there's nothing like that in this album, and that it's all his own work.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom's music is out and it's great. Shankar Ehsaan Loy have done it again, specially with the Jhoom. JBJ is a film directed by Shad Ali and stars Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Lara Dutta, Bobby Deol and Amitabh Bachchan. Check out the Ticket to Hollywood promo clip and the making-of video of the title song over at Bollywood Unlimited. I like Big B's stunning new outfit. Enough said, enjoy the music.

Apne

Apne is a film directed by Anil Sharma and stars Dharmendra and his two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, alongside Katrina Kaif and Shelpa Shetty. It's the first film to feature Dharmendra and his to sons together. It's a family film, probably with lots of tears and sorrows and hopefully not with a story already told. We've had too much of that. Daddy's Girl has a wonderful blog, In Praise of All Things Dharmendra. Chech it out whether you are a Dharmendra/Sunny/Bobby fan or not. It's a fun blog, a really nice read.

Music of Apne is composed by the widely love and hated director, Himesh Reshammiya. I'm personally in the 'hate' pole in regards with his music, and voice. It's a typical Himesh album, with a lot of the songs in his own voice. I do think Dekhoon Tujhe To Pyaar Aaye could have been much better if it was sung by someone else. Actually all songs could've been better, but that particular song has potential in my mind. But thanks to Himesh, I don't like it. I hope you are from 'love' end of his fan spectrum and enjoy this album.

Shootout At Lokhandwala

Shootout At Lokhandwala (you might already know this) is a film based the true story of the clash between the Mumbhai Police and five members of gang members. The police squad were lead by inspector Khan (Sanjay Dutt) and the gangsters by Maya (Vivek Oberoi). Other actors who have played major roles in this film are Amitabh Bachchan, Sunil Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Aarti Chhabria, Rohit Roy, Neha Dhupia, Diya Mirza, Amrita Singh and Abhishek Bachchan. Shootout is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. It is quite a good movie. It is not for you, if you are a little weak in heart because there's quite a lot of blood and death. There is one thing I would like to complain about and that is Tusshar playing Buwa's role. It just doesn't seem right; Buwa in reality was one of the coldest killers and Mr. Kapoor doesn't quite portray that. In fact none of the actors playing the gang members have acted up to the reputation of the actual gangsters, turning them into nicer people instead of the ruthless killers that they were. This probably is an intentional effort by the director, but this results in the viewers sympathizing with the gang members. Anyway, it is a very entertaining film, specially for the fans of the gangsta genre.

Contributions have been made multiple composers/directors in the music department including Anand Raj Anand, Mika, Biddu and Strings. The diversity in music direction and style has played quite well for Shootout. I hope you like it.

Awarapan

Awarapan is the latest film from Mohit Suri (director of Woh Lamhe). It stars Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran and Rehan Khan.

Awarapan's music is by Pritam. He's come up with a couple of pretty good songs for this album. Toh Phir Aao and Mahiya sung by Mustafa Zahid and Suzanne respectively are quite good. I hope you enjoy this album.

Partner

Based on the Will Smith starring Hollywood film Hitch, Partner features Salman Khan, Govinda, Lara Dutta, and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles. It is directed by David Dhawan. Here Sallu is the 'love guru' which leaves Govinda to be the one who needs a make-over to win one of the leading ladies' heart. It's meant to be a comedy film, and I hope that the makers have loaded it with some nice and smart jokes. We've had a little too much of stupid jokes recently, mostly last year.

The man responsible for the music of Partner is Sajid Wajid. It's a pretty fast-paced and loud album with too much bass. If you have a good sound system, big subs with a good amplifier, you can blow your roof off with these songs. And I think that's all they can do, they're neither lyrically good nor musically exceptional. Just loud and in your face, rather in your ear drums. No award nominations for Wajid this year. Have a listen yourselves, and see what I mean.

The music release after is that of Naqaab. Naqaab is a film by Abbas-Mustan and stars Bobby Deol, Akshay Khanna and the model-turned-actress Urvashi Sharma in her debut role. It's a thriller, involving a love triangle, I guess.

Music of Naqaab is composed by Pritam, who has created some great music in the past. Since I am trying to catch up with the latest releases, I haven't had a chance to listen to this album myself. I hope this is good and that you will like it.

Cash

Cash is the latest movie by director Anubhav Sinha and stars Ajay Devgan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Zayed Khan, Arjun Rampal, Esha Deol, Shamita Shetty, Diya Mirza, and Sunil Shetty. As the title suggests, the film is all about cash/money. If you've seen the trailers, you probably know that there some really nice action sequences in this film, as well as some nice car (including my favorite and future car, 350Z).

Music of Cash is composed by Shekhar Ravjiani and Vishal Dadlani (Vishal & Shekhar). They've made some really nice music in the past, and I hope that you all like this one.

Marigold

Marigold is a collaborative work of Hollywood and Bollywood. The film is written and directed by Willard Caroll. It's the story of Marigold (Ali Larter), an American actress, about her journey to India and how things effect her life. Salman Khan plays the male protagonist in th film.

Shankar Ehsaan Loy have composed the music. It's a little different from their previous works, perhaps due to involvement of Graeme Revell, the man who has worked on the music of many major Hollywood productions including the Sin City series, Kingdom of Heaven, The Siege and many more. Chak De India

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over!!! Music of King Khan's latest movie, Chak De India, is here! In this film Shahrukh Khan plays the role of the coach of national hockey team, who takes his team in to World Cup. It is directed by Shmit Amin. Vidya Malvade also plays a major role in film, I think that of a hockey player who dreams of playing for the National Team. Just a guess. Chak De India is one of the major movies of the year under the Yash Raj Movies banner, and it's produced by the Chopras. BTW, this is SRK's first muslim role and accroding to IMDB.com, he grew the beard in order to look more muslim-like.

The music directors of Chak De are Salim and Sulaiman Merchant. I personally like the songs from this film, except the parts sung by SRK himself ;) They have done a good job. I hope you like it too.

Darling

Darling is on of the upcoming films of director Ram Gopal Verma, starring Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Isha Koppikar for the lead roles. There was so much buzz around RGV' Sholay remake (now knows as RGV Ki Aag) that we didn't even notice he was making Darling. Looking forward to see what he's done in this film.

The music composer of Darling, unfortunately, is Himesh Reshammiya. I don't know anything else about the film, but I definitely believe RGV's choice of music director is kinda rotten. Sorry Himesh fans. Some believe Himesh has a very wide fan-base. If so, the only value he's bringing to the table is in the sales (which is very important for some), but nothing artistic. However that has been compensated for by a very nice Adnan Sami song that I think you shouldn't miss.

Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag

I've been tracking Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag for quite a while in order to be among the first to post its music, I hope I've achieved that. So here is of Aag, RGV's much hyped remake of the a classic masterpiece, Sholay. (For those of you who have seen The Magnificent Seven (1960), you might know that Sholay (1975) was a very well done adaptation of The Magnificent Seven and not an original story by Salim Javed. I know some people will really hate me for pointing that out. Check it out for yourselves.) The cast of Aag include Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Ajay Devgan, Prashant Raj, Nisha Kothari, Sushmita Sen, Rajpal Yadav, Boman Irani and features Urmila Matondkar in the song Mehbooba as the sexy dancer.

Dhokha is the upcoming film from Bhatt-land: Mahesh Bhatt presents a Pooja Bhatt film produced by Mukesh Bhatt !!! Dhokha stars Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover, Ashuntosh Rana, Vineeth Kumar, Tulip Joshi and Muzammil Ibrahim in major roles. This film marks the start of a, hopefully good, acting career for Ibrahim who is quite a successful model. I hope he doesn't turn out like all the other guys with great bodies and no acting skills.... and no brain!

Dhamaal

Dhamaal is a film by director Inder Kumar. It is a comedy film starring our favorite actor Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftabh Shivdasani, and Ashish Chaudhary. It's good to have films about silly topics with silly jokes every now and then. But too many of them can be pretty annoying, like those so many films of the last year about blind, deaf and dumb characters.

Anyway, music of Dhamaal is composed by Adnan Sami, he has also lent his vocals to a couple of the songs. Unfortunately this album is one of his worst works so far. He's made some great songs in the past. Let's hope that trend doesn't go down.

Behold ladies and gentlemen! Music of the biggest movie of the year is here, and I am absolutely thrilled to say that you and I are among the very first to listen to them. As you already know, Om Shanti Om is the highly expected movie by Farah Khan starring the one and only Shahrukh Khan along with Deepika Padukone, Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal and Kiron Kher playing the important roles. So far I know only what you all know about the film, if you have seen the trailers that is. Shahrukh is presented with an all new look, amazingly ripped body with stunning six-packs and a new hair style. There's also another treat in store for us all, more than 30 big names of Bollywood are to feature in one of the songs!! What else can we say except THANK YOU FARAH AND SHAHRUKH FOR ANOTHER GREAT FILM!!!

Music of Om Shanti Om is directed by the wonderful duo Vishal-Shekhar. I'm listening to Dard-e-Disco as I'm writing this and it's a superb song. I have listened to all of them, and I absolutely love them (most of 'em, not all ;p). Great music and great lyrics penned down by Javed Aktar himself. SO don't wait and start downloading!!!!

Laaga Chunari Mein Daag

Here is another great music album. It's Laaga Chunari Mein Daag directed by Pradeep Sarkar and stars Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee, Konkona Sen Sharma, Abhishek Bachchan, Kunal Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Kirron Kher and Farida Jalal in the important and some not-so-important roles.

Shantanu Moitra has directed the music of LCMA, and created a wonderful piece of work. Although I haven't listened to all of them, the first couple of songs are absolutely great. Hum To Aise Hain is a sweet song. Ok, it's your turn now. Listen and enjoy ;)

Saawariya

Saawariya is the latest venture by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Ranbir Kapoor , Sonam Kapoor , Rani Mukherjee and guest starring Salman Khan. The trailers seem visually great. Even though I didn't like Ranbir Kapoor girly acting, it seems pretty promising. Ranbir (Rishi Kapoor's son) and Sonam (Anil Kapoor's daughter) are very lucky to start their acting careers in such a big movie. Perhaps they should VERY thankful to their dads. Hope to see a lot of good movies from these two in the future.

Music of Saawariya is directed by Monty Sharma, and what a great job he has done. I very much like this album and I hope you do too. Enjoy!

Johnny Gaddaar

Johnny Gaddaar is a film by director Sriram Raghavan. A the name suggests, it's got to be about crime and deception and everything that comes under GADDAAR. It stars Dharmendra, Neil Mukesh, Rimi Sen and Vinay Pathak.

Vishal & Shekhar have composed the music for JG. I'm upto song 2 (Move Your Body). So far it sounds pretty good. Very high energy with a cool fun vibe. I hope you guys like it. Cheers.

Jab We Met seems to be pretty well liked already. It's been requested so many times. So here it is. It's a film by Imtiaz Ali and stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Dara Singh in major roles. I have no clue what the plot is, neither have I listened to the songs yet. Music of JWM is a collaborative work of Sandesh Shandilya and Pritam. Enjy!

No Smoking

No Smoking is the much talked about movie by Anurag Kashyap starring John Abraham, Ranvir Shorey, Ayesha Takia, Joy Fernandes, Paresh Rawal, Bipasha Basu, and Saif Ali Khan. This film is supposedly meant to demote smoking by showing how horrible it is, and the kind of things it can result in. I think it would've been better if they named it something like 'No Drugs' or 'No Cocaine'. Even better 'Addiction Kills'. The film is more about addiction of any kind than it smoking in particular. And the kind of side-effects depicted seem more look those of other hardcore drugs. There's nothing about the ACTUAL harms of smoking in the film. The kind of things that any smoker could look at and say 'that could happen to me'. I don't think any smoker would think they will go as far as John Abraham with smoking. It's rare and extreme. HOWEVER, the intention is to be applauded, and I hope it succeeds in what it aims to do. That's my 2 cents on the movie itself. Please do tell me if you think otherwise. AND after watching the movie, tell us if it convinced you to quit smoking.

Now let's talk about the music. It's composed by Vishal Bharadwaj. with vocals from Adnan Sami, Sukwinder Singh, and Sunidhi Chauhan to name a few. It's not really extraordinary, but still pretty good. I hope you enjoy it.

Mumbai Salsa

Mumbai Salsa is Vikram Bhatt's latest production with the debuting director Manoj Tyagi. This film stars some unfamiliar faces (don't know about you guys, but don't know any of them). They are: Linda Arsenio, Indraneel Sengupta, Manjari Phadnis, Neelam, Dilip Thadeshwar, and Vir Das. Sounds like a fresh and different. I hope it is.

Taare Zameen Par

Sorry for taking so long to post Taare Zameen Par. I've been REALLY busy lately. As they say, better late than never. So here it is. Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par stars himself in the lead role alongside Tanay Chheda, Tisca Chopra, Vibha Sharma, and Darsheel Safary. I'm sure a lot of you have been eagerly waiting for this. Aamir is also the producer of this film. We all know that he is a control freak when it comes to his movies and has had problems with his previous directors and producers. So this time he's taken control of everything to make sure the final product is exactly what he wants. I hope it pays off well.

Music of TZP is directed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Right now I'm listening to song 3 and there is nothing spectacular so far. It ain't that bad either. I'm sure I will like them more once I see the film. I hope you enjoy them more than I did.

Akshay's been hitting us with so many comedy movies lately. Who would think that Mr. Khiladi would one day be a funny man.

Music of is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Anand Raj Anand. Thanks to Anand's participation, we only get to hear Himesh in one song. However, it's Anand who is singing 3 of the songs this time. Fortunately, his voice is not as annoying :)

Halla Bol is director Raj Kumar Santoshi's latest project. Starring Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan, Pankaj Kapoor, and Sayali Bhagat, Halla Bol is a film about the struggles of an actor in the Indian film industry and what he faces at every stage of his career.

Music of HB is composed by Sukhwinder Singh. Muscially there's nothing new and out of the ordinary. The songs sound pretty familiar. However, I really find Sukhwinder Singh's voice very refreshing. It seems like he really is passionate about music and that is quite apparent in how sings. I have to say the best song of this album's got to be Jab Tak Hai Dum.

Dus Kahaniyaan

As the name says, Dus Kahaniyaan consists of 10 different stories of different people with different themes. These short stories are directed by six directors, i.e. Sanjay Gupta, Apoorva Lakhia, Meghna Gulzar, Hansal Mehta, Jasmeet Dhodi and Sudhir Mishra. The list of the cast for Dus Kahaniyaan is even longer. I'm not going to list every name here. Just know there definitely is one or more of your favorite actors in this film.

To keep the tradition alive, the producers have also hired more than one music directors for this film. They are Gourav Dasgupta, Anand Raj Anand, Bappi Lahiri and Shafqat Ali Khan. Once again there is something for everyone the following 3 sets of songs. For me the most interesting ones seem to be Gulzaar's poems. One of the reasons I've been hesitating to post DK's songs is that there are just too many. I could've posted three albums instead of it, but since so many people want it, I had to ignore that feeling. Anyway I hope you enjoy these songs.

Aap Ka Surroor

Remember Himesh Reshammiya debuting acting last year in a film supposedly telling his real love story? That movie was Aap Ka Surroor. I didn't get to post the songs back then, so here they are. Aap Ka Surroor is directed by Prashant Chadha who also started his directing career with this film. Other major casts of AKS include Mallika Sherawat, Hansika Motwani and Raj Babbar. Btw, there's going to be sequel to this film also directed by Prashant Chadha called "Aap Ka Surroor 2: Ae Himesh Bhai" set to release sometimes this year, so keep an eye out for that if you are a Himesh fan.

Music of AKS is of course composed by Himesh himself. There are some nice tracks there. I hope you like this album, even though it is kinda dated.

Go is directed by Manish Srivastav and stars Gautam Gupta, Nisha Kothari, Kay Kay Menon and Rajpal Yadav in leading roles. It's about two rich kids who run away from home for some reason but then they get in all sorts of trouble and get chased by the 'bad guys'. That's what I've read about it on the net. It's music is composed by Sneha Khanwalka. The songs are surprisingly better that I expected. Since it's a low budget film, I had very low expectations too. I guess you can't read a book by it's cover after all.
